This Living Chess can be defined as a ‘story told through a theatrical representation, performed by schoolchildren, based on a game of chess.’

In this edition, we’ll be travelling with “Around the World in a Game of Chess”, inspired by Jules Verne’s “Around the World in Eighty Days”. An adventure that sets off from Xàbia to celebrate cultural diversity and break down stereotypes.

The show, which will feature the writer Blue Jeans as guest of honour, is based on the legendary game known as “Kasparov’s Immortal Game” (1999) and will include live music from the Xàbia Centre for Musical Arts Orchestra and choreography by Endanza.

The event will take place on Saturday 25 July at 10.30 pm on Avinguda de Lepanto.
